My 5 Step Guide To Get Started With Affiliate Marketing
Step 1 – GET YOUR HEAD IN THE GAME
This might sound like tough love but you first need to get your head in the game. Do you really want to make money online and create passive income or do you just want to read about it and wonder how everybody else is making money around you.
By Reading this Guide I could tell you are interested in making money online but taking action is a whole different ballgame.
There are 2 Ways:
- Paid Promotion – If you have some cash sitting around then you can outsource everything from setting up to running paid ads but if you don’t know what you are doing this could be costly and unsustainable.
- Put In The Work – This way requires less investment but demands your time in order to get things done. Everything from blogging to social media posts. Now I mentioned less investment because there are affordable tools that can help with the work load.

STEP 2 – Get Educated
The sad truth is that most people who get into affiliate marketing see little to no results.
Why is this?
Like any other job, you first need to learn the skills needed to do the job, the terminology, the right tools, the right image, etc. Most people don’t do this and fail.

Step 3 – Find A Product To Promote
Your next step is to find the right product. There are 3 different categories of products you can promote but thousands to choose from.
- Small Commissions – These are typically $0 to $30 per sale.
- Recurring Commissions – Also small commissions but these come in every month as passive income as long as your referral continues the service.
- High Ticket Products – These can earn $1000’s in commissions

- Lead Pages – Great for building funnels at an affordable price
- Systeme – This one is totally free with some restrictions of course.
Autoresponder
- Willing to invest – AWeber is the way to go.
- On a budget – Get Response now offers a Free plan now with some limitations but still has the edge as the best autoresponder in my opinion.
Step 5 – Get The Customers
Lets face it, you can have the right mindset, the best training, the right product and the best tools but without traffic you don’t have a business.
Paid Traffic Sources
- Udimi – These solo ads send targeted people to your funnel and they are know for Guaranteed Sales.
- SeoClerks – If you want to rank on Google then this is where you need to be. You can purchase backlinks that help you rank higher on Google.
- Shoutcart – Start making money with zero follows. This site allows you to share your product on Instagram accounts with thousands of followers increasing your exposure.
Free Traffic Sources
- YouTube – By far the most effective way to reach people
- Other social media outlets such as Instagram, Tiktok, Facebook and Twitter.
- Blogs – Writing reviews of products using affiliate links not only helps create passive income but also improves your SEO.
